Shamrock Compliance was founded in 2014 by Joseph & Stephanie Heffernan. It offers organisations a range of consultancy & training and management services in Environmental health and safety and Project Management.
The idea to found Shamrock Compliance came about after Joseph had identified that many businesses lacked the resources or expertise to effectively manage their environmental health and safety obligations and found that companies were increasingly outsourcing such contracts.
Prior to founding Shamrock Compliance Joe spent 8 years working in the food sector as an Environmental Health adviser and Safety coordinator. He attained a BSc Degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management in 2010, and a is a QQI/FETAC level 6 certified Manual Handling Instructor.He has designed and delivered tailored training courses to complement the implementation and management of safe working systems. He has also developed, implemented and coordinated Emergency plans which have been tested & proven.
Shamrock’s Project Manager Stephanie is also an experienced B2B sales professional with comprehensive knowledge of company operations, holds a BSc (hons) Degree in Geography and a QQI/FETAC level 6 in Project Management. She is currently Director and Chairperson of Rhode Parish Playground Project Limited, a non-profit voluntary organisation. After founding the group in late 2010, Stephanie steered the project towards successfully securing a site and raising the 25% match funding required in order to access 75% grant aid assistance. Her position has required her to manage all aspects of this €125,000 community project which successfully reached completion in April 2014.
